The family member you couldn't wait to see who walked through the door... and the one who never did. The office holiday party that became legendary for all the right reasons—or all the wrong ones.
Through hilarious, heartfelt, deeply human true stories, a cast of gifted storytellers will celebrate the joy, surprises, mishaps, and meaning of the holiday season. Some stories will have you laughing out loud. Others may move you to tears. All of them are true, and all remind us of the power of gathering together through story.
This program is for adults and high school students only. No one younger will be admitted. Doors open at 6:30 for a free wine reception for pre-registered guests. Waitlisted patrons are let in at 6:45. Late arriving pre-registered guests need to join the end of the line.
Don Reed is the creator and host of Redwood Nights: Storytelling Under the Stars and the author of the forthcoming memoir Here's Donnie!: A Memoir of Hardknocks from Pimptown to Tinseltown, to be published by Simon & Schuster.
Reed has also been the guest emcee of Naked Truth, the Library's true, live storytelling series.
